Welcome to The Rendell Shea Guesthouse. We are located right downtown in the historic East End of St. John's. All major attractions are within minutes walk including Signal Hill, George Street, The Rooms, Duckworth Street, Water Street and the harbor front. Coffee houses, restaurants and local gift shops line our neighborhood.

Feel free to enjoy freshly baked muffins and coffee or tea with other guests in our sunroom or covered patio. Also, enjoy your own breakfast items here or stop by Coffee Matters, Zachary's or Classic Cafe, just a 3-4 minute walk from our Guesthouse.

We are located in the historic East End  downtown where local shops, coffee houses and craft stores thrive. The East End is distinctly St. John's and a great place to start your Newfoundland experience.

Our History

The Rendell Shea Manor was built in 1878 and is one of the most historic homes in St. John's. Owned by the same family for more than 100 years, our home has retained its original character throughout and with careful restoration, The Rendell Shea provides complete and modern amenities while retaining its historic charm.
